CALB’s High-Energy Batteries Empower Trillion-Dollar Low-Altitude Economy

On November 27, the first day of the 2025 Zhuhai Airshow, CALB debuted its UP high-energy aviation-specific battery system, marking its first appearance at an aviation exhibition. The company also signed long-term strategic cooperation agreements with Volant Aerotech and Easyfly Intelligence Manufacturing Technologies, jointly exploring the boundless possibilities of the low-altitude flight sector.

 

 

CALB's UP high-energy aviation battery combines high energy density and enhanced safety features, meeting aviation-grade safety standards. The battery cells boast an energy density of 360Wh/kg+, while the system's energy density reaches 270Wh/kg+, supporting instant ultra-high power discharges of over 1500kW. This battery is currently powering the Xiaopeng He Tian X3, as well as supporting the GAC High Domain flying car GOVY, Volant Aerospace's VE25-100, and Efly Intelligent Manufacturing's EF7, among other advanced vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

 

 

CALB is also deepening its partnership with Volant Aerotech  on the VE25-100, a high-performance commercial eVTOL passenger aircraft, the largest 6-seat electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in the world in terms of cabin space and payload. The VE25-100 has already garnered nearly 2,000 intention orders, with applications spanning low-altitude sightseeing, emergency rescue, urban commuting, and intercity connections. This breakthrough is set to transform air travel from a rare experience into an everyday commuting option.
